Recycling

The collection of recyclable materials with 360-litre wheeled bins takes place every week. Here are the instructions to follow:

Put only your recyclable materials in the wheeled bin provided by your municipality. Material deposited outside the bin will not be collected (excluding special cardboard collection, when announced).

The blue bins must be placed at the curb before 7am on the morning of collection day, within a maximum one metre of your curb.

Position the wheels pointing toward your home.

Make sure the path to your bin is clear of any objects, including other bines or large objects within a perimeter of 60cm.

Make sure the lid of the bin is closed and free of debris

Does the object have to be placed in the blue bin?

Is it a printed material, a container or packaging?

Is the object made of paper, cardboard, metal, glass, or plastic?

This material does not go in the blue bin. Find out where to dispose of it,

do a search.

If it is plastic, is it stretchable or does it have a number (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 7)?

Bin replacement or new bin
To have a damaged bin repaired or replaced, or to obtain a bin for a new address, simply contact your City Hall.

Moving
The bins are municipally owned and are associated with an address. If you move, you must leave it on the premises

Terms of the collection
- The materials must be placed in a blue wheeled bin provided by the city (for mechanised collection);

- Materials outside the bin will not be collected (excluding special cardboard collection, when scheduled).

Evaluating waste materials is a serious challenge. Orientations and governmental reuse goals outline the process under the Politique québécoise de gestion des matières résiduelles (Residual Materials Management Policy of Québec).

In order to respond to the Politique québécoise de gestion des matières résiduelles, the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges ensures the application of the measures of its Plans de gestion des matières résiduelles in its territory. Several measures are aimed at ICI companies.
