Did you know that many organizations and businesses collect items that they repair and then donate or sell them at low cost? Furniture, clothing and appliances can be easily reused, as can a multitude of other goods that lend themselves to reuse.
Instead of simply throwing out the items that are cluttering you and that you no longer use, donate them to reuse organizations or sell them. We also invite you to consult classified ads or resale sites such as: Kijiji, Marketplace, VarageSale, Craiglist, etc.

Collection of items containing halocarbons
The MRC of Vaudreuil-Soulanges has been a member of the FrigoResponsable ™️ program since 2013 and thus contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting the ozone layer.
Entrusted to a FrigoResponsable ™️ recycler, up to 96% of the components of refrigeration appliances are recycled. The process used captures and ensures the destruction of 99.99% of the halocarbons contained in the insulating foams and the cooling system.
Thanks to this program, 1,570 devices were recycled in 2019, thus avoiding the release of 1,250 equivalent tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere.
Four drop-off points are available on the territory of the MRC: the ecocentres in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Saint-Zotique and Rigaud and the Carrefour de l'Espoir organization. In addition, the Carrefour de l'Espoir organization offers an on-call device collection service for all citizens of the MRC.
